but last year around this time of year, a little closer to winter, was the peak of my depression.
I remember dragging myself out of bed and waiting for the bus in the dark at 6 in the morning and as soon as I got on the bus I listened to Beautiful by Eminem over and over and over.

Having a song make you feel better is not dumb at all. Back a few years ago I was severely depressed and the only things that kept me going were 2Pac, Eminem, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park. I can strongly say that without them I might have not made it.
